Low Carb Recipe – Do You Miss French Fries?

One of the thing that got a lot of us heavy in the first place are all those fast food joints. Do the words “You want fries with that?” mean anything to you?

They do to me.

So when Julie in PA, a very frequent contributor, submitted this very unique recipe, it got rave reviews and a lot of comments.  And, it’s extremely easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
  • Canola Oil
  • Salt & Season to taste 

Procedure

Get a sharp knife and cut the chicken breast into long, thin strips 1/4 inch thick.

Deep fry until golden brown (Yes, they get Crispy!)

Season to taste and enjoy.

At my son’s little league, they now have a special seasoning salt they use on the french fries there, and almost everyone orders theirs that way. So, instead of just salting your chicken fries, how about trying some other seasonings, too?

  • Garlic powder
  • Onion Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon Pepper

I’d recommend Lawry’s Seasoning Salt, but it has a bit of sugar in it. If you can find a good substitute seasoning like Lawry’s but without sugar, please post a comment below.
